Biography

Prof. Ts. Dr Shanti Faridah Salleh is Professor and Director of the Institute of Sustainable and Renewable Energy (ISuRE), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). A Chartered Energy Engineer and certified ESG Analyst, she has extensive experience in sustainability, ESG, low-carbon development, energy transition and environmental governance. Her work bridges research, policy and implementation, with particular emphasis on translating sustainability ambitions into measurable institutional and societal impact. She has led and contributed to strategic initiatives involving low-carbon cities and campuses, renewable energy, green hydrogen, waste-to-energy, ESG reporting and sustainability governance. Prof. Shanti also works closely with government agencies, industry and communities in advancing practical sustainability solutions for Sarawak and beyond.
