Mr. Desmond Anak Douglas Jerukan, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak

Mr. Desmond Anak Douglas Jerukan is a senior public sector executive with extensive experience in the Sarawak Civil Service. He currently serves as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak, where he provides strategic leadership in public administration, local government, organisational management, and public service delivery.

Throughout his career, Mr. Desmond has held various senior management and acting leadership appointments across Sarawak ministries, contributing to policy implementation, strategic planning, organisational transformation, performance management, and inter-agency coordination. His professional experience also includes local government development and disaster management initiatives.

Mr. Desmond holds a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, and a Bachelor in Applied Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
